The Milwaukee Brewers defeated The Tampa Bay Rays 7 to 1 on Wednesday afternoon at American Family Field in Milwaukee, taking the third and final game of a three-game interleague series.
Catcher William Contreras got the scoring started with a two-out,two-run double in the bottom of the second inning.
Then it was the Willy Adames show.
The Brewer shortstop hit the first of his two home runs, a solo shot off of Rays starting and losing pitcher Zach Eflin in the third, and then he cracked a three-run shot in the seventh inning.
Colin Rea pitched six scoreless innings to earn the win for Milwaukee, which will have Thursday off before heading to Wrigley Field in Chicago to battle former Brewer skipper Craig Counsell and The Cubs on Friday afternoon.
The first pitch is scheduled for 1:20 p.m.
