An eastern Wisconsin school district is one of 18 statewide to get a share of some grant money.
A portion of a “fab lab” grant through the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation is going to the Random Lake School District.
Random Lake Schools will get $24,300 in grant money.
The grants are meant to train students in science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics (STEAM) skills and prepare them for careers using advanced technologies.
Specifically, the district could get some high-tech equipment to teach students which could include 3D printers, laser engravers, computer numerical control (CNC) routers, and plasma cutters.
