Aisha Carr, a Milwaukee Public Schools board member, tendered her resignation amidst allegations questioning her residency and accusations of eavesdropping on the city’s superintendent.
Effective immediately, Carr announced her departure yesterday.
Milwaukee County prosecutors had launched an investigation into Carr’s residency within her school board district.
Additionally, Carr faced accusations of planting a listening device in Superintendent Keith Posley’s office, which she later admitted was fabricated as a test of an administrator’s loyalty.
Carr cited no specific reason for her abrupt resignation.
