The Manitowoc County Mariners kick off their 2024 season Saturday afternoon as they travel to Fall River, Wisconsin, to battle The Madison Mad Dawgs in a Northern Lights League Football contest.
The Mariners reached the N.L.F.L semifinals last season, losing to eventual champion, The Illinois Cowboys.
Marcos Alfaro, The Second, returns as quarterback for an eighth consecutive year. The roster comprises 63 players, 19 of whom are rookies and 4 with 10 or more years of experience.
The Mariners play their first two on the road then play 5 of seven at home. This afternoon’s game kicks off at 1 p.m.
