The City of Two Rivers, VFW Post 1248, and the Robert E. Burns Post 165 of the American Legion are again honoring those who paid the ultimate sacrifice.
A ceremony commemorating 62 Two Rivers residents who lost their lives in the Civil War through Operation Iraqi Freedom will be held in Central Park East on Wednesday, May 22nd, beginning at 9:30 a.m.
The event will be highlighted by the installation of utility pole banners in the park, with each barring the name of a fallen Two Rivers resident.
The city says it’s a poignant reminder of the tremendous sacrifice made by those individuals.
The ceremony is open to the public, and area veterans are encouraged to attend.
