The Manitowoc County Historical Society is hosting its annual Library Card Free Day in collaboration with the Manitowoc Public Library, Lester Public Library, and Brillion Public Library on May 11th, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Attendees at the Historical Society with a Manitowoc-Calumet Library system card can enjoy free entry to the museum for the day.
There will be a story time session at 11:00 a.m. in the museum’s one-room schoolhouse, Shadyside School, and a range of make-and-take activities available for children inside Shadyside School.
The museum’s spring hours came into effect on May 3rd and will continue until May 31st, open on Fridays and Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., including access to the McAllister House Welcome Center and Pinecrest Village historical structures.
The Historical Society and Public Library in Manitowoc also offer a Museum Pass Program, enabling residents to visit the museum for free throughout the season. Manitowoc Public Library patrons can check out a Museum Pass for entry to the museum and other buildings.
Similarly, the Manitowoc County Historical Society and Brillion Public Library have a “Passport to Fun” program for free museum visits, where Brillion Public Library patrons can also obtain Museum Passes for entry.
Each pass allows entry for 2 adults and children aged 17 and younger from the same household. The passes are available for checkout by valid library cardholders on a first-come, first-serve basis.
