Grant F. Kaufman, age 67, passed away Thursday, May 9, 2024 at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center, Appleton.
He was born December 22, 1956 in Manitowoc, son of the late Eugene and Dorothy (Allen) Kaufman. Grant attended Lincoln High School, graduating with the class of 1975. He enlisted in the United States Army, serving from 1983 until receiving his honorable discharge in 1986. On July 29, 1983 he married Beverly Rusch at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Manitowoc. While in the Army, the couple moved out east to Glen Rock, Pennsylvania where they spent the last 40 years. Grant was employed as a materials purchaser for various companies. He retired in 2022 and relocated to Appleton. Grant enjoyed grilling, swimming in his pool, and going on bike rides. He was also an avid Green Bay Packer fan. Above all, he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandson.
Grant is survived by his wife: Bev Kaufman; son and daughter-in-law: Mason (Sarah) Kaufman; two grandchildren: Xander and Sabrina; two brothers: Tom and Greg Kaufman; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Bonnie Peters, LuRae (John) Cernick, Cindy Rusch, and Brian (Connie) Rusch; and a special friend Mike Gomm. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents: Eugene and Dorothy Kaufman; step-father: Jack LaFave; brother: Tim Kaufman; an infant sister; father-in-law and mother-in-law: Vernon and Norma Rusch; brother-in-law: Virgil Peters; and nephew: Eric Gomm.
Cremation has occurred at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory, Manitowoc, and a life celebration social will be held from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 18, 2024 at the Harrigan Parkside Gathering Center, 620 North Water Street, Manitowoc.
