A 38-year-old Maribel man is free on bail after being taken into custody over the weekend on an alleged OWI offense.
The Manitowoc County Communications Center responded to a complaint Sunday night of a driver, later identified as Daven L. Brey, driving well under the speed limit and not maintaining his lane.
State troopers located Brey’s vehicle off the road in a field entrance, slumped over the wheel.
He failed a field sobriety test and was charged with OWI-Fifth Offense.
$200 cash bail was posted with conditions that Brey is not to drive a motor vehicle without a valid driver’s license, and he must maintain “absolute sobriety.”
His initial appearance is scheduled for May 20th at 1:30.
