A local mental health organization is ready to see everyone all dressed up and ready to support their cause.
NAMI Manitowoc County’s Little Black Dress Party is taking place tonight.
NAMI Manitowoc County’s mission is to support, education, and advocacy for people living with mental illness and their families in Manitowoc County, they do this through educational programming, workshops, and connecting individuals to numerous resources.
NAMI works in collaboration with Holy Family Freighter, Holy Family Memorial, Willow Creek in Green Bay, and Rodger’s Behavioral Health in Sheboygan, all of which are sponsors for the upcoming Little Black Dress Party.
The event will take place on May 22nd at the Capitol Civic Center at 6:30 p.m. with numerous surprises available for people to get them into the party atmosphere and to show off their fancy clothes, with the main event being a live silent auction taking place at 7:30 p.m. and will be managed by John Jagemann.
The auction features designer handbags by Saks Fifth Avenue, vacation packages, and a house concert donated by Cathy Grier that will take place at the Firman household and will be available to 20 people with appetizers, drinks, and sweets provided.
Caterers include Moose on the Loose, who will provide appetizers, and Amy Smith of Our Legacy Restaurant, who will lay out a dessert table.
The event also features a pre-party pamper that will take place in the dressing rooms of the Capitol Civic Center.
This will feature makeup artists, hairstylists that will be doing makeup and hair refreshers, however, the pre-party pamper will also feature hand massages, jewelry cleaning, drinks, and other treats.
