The road to a state championship begins today for baseball teams around Wisconsin.
In Division 1, Manitowoc Lincoln earned the #2 seed, and have a first round bye.
They will take on either Fond Lac or Oshkosh North this Thursday in their final home game of the season.
Meanwhile, #14 Sheboygan South is on the road for #3 Neenah today, while #13 Sheboygan North will try to upset #4 West Bend West.
In the other D1 bracket, #9 West De Pere and #8 Ashwaubenon will battle it out to determine who will be facing the top seed and #2 team in the state, De Pere.
Elsewhere, #12 Appleton East is at #5 Kaukauna, #13 Appleton West makes the short trip to #4 Appleton North, #14 Green Bay Eat/West is at #3 Bay Port, #1 Green Bay Southwest is on the road for #6 Pulaski, and #10 Green Bay Preble is at #7 Hortonville, with the winner facing #2 Kimberly Thursday.
In Division 2, Kiel earned the #1 seed and will host Berlin, while #5 Plymouth is on the road for #4 Chilton. The winners will face off Wednesday, as will the matchup winners between #6 Xavier and #3 Luxemburg-Casco and the game between #7 Sturgeon Bay and #2 Denmark.
Also in that bracket, #3 Little Chute is hosting #11 New London, while #2 Notre Dame is home for #7 Shawano, with the winners of those games facing off Wednesday as well.
In Division 3, it’s a Big East North showdown as #1 Mishicot, the conference champs, host #8 Manitowoc Lutheran.
Elsewhere, #4 Brillion is home for Algoma, and #3 Kewaunee is hosting #6 St. Mary Catholic.
In the other area bracket, #5 Winnebago Lutheran is invading Kohler/Sheboygan Christian, #14 Sheboygan Lutheran is on the road for #6 New Holstein, and #2 Cedar Grove-Belgium is home for #10 St. Mary’s Springs.
And in Division 4, #4 Reedsville is set to host #5 Rosholt, with the winner taking on either Tigerton or Gibraltar/Washington Island Wednesday.
In the other area bracket, #7 Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah is on the road for #2 Palmyra-Eagle
