Christine DeBauche, age 88, of Two Rivers, died Sunday morning, May 26, 2024, with family at her side, at the Felician Village, Manitowoc.
Christine was born October 21, 1935, in Coleman, a daughter of the late Christ and Patricia (DeCleene) VanLaarhoven. She graduated from Coleman High School. On July 7, 1956, she married Alfred DeBauche at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Coleman, Al preceded her in death on December 2, 2021. Christine was employed at Paragon, Carron Net and Mirro for many years. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, knitting, crocheting, baking and cooking.
Survivors include her two daughters: Karen and Dr. James Kemmerling of Ruskin, Florida and Sandra Farrell and fiancé’, Frank Gehrke of Manitowoc; grandchildren: Amanda Ramirez, Jason Kemmerling, Jeremy Kemmerling, Kristin (Derek) Harvieux and Joseph Kemmerling; and great grandchildren: Cyrus, Tristan, Zaara, Sadie and Sophie. She is further survived by her sisters: Joan Bushmaker-Marx, Veronica (John) Walker and Margaret Hartwig; brother: Peter (Judy) VanLaarhoven and brother-in-law: Glenn Schultz; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her father-in-law and mother-in-law: August and Mary DeBauche; in-laws: Agnes Gordon (Don) Ploor (Fritz), Beatrice (Fritz) Nies, Harold “Buddy” (Vicky) DeBauche, Bernice Schultz, Russell (Jean) DeBauche, Phillip DeBauche, Martin Bushmaker and Paul Hartwig.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 31, 2024, at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, 3201 Mishicot Rd., Two Rivers. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Dave Pleier with entombment in Knollwood Chapel Mausoleum, Hwy 310, Manitowoc.
The family will greet relatives and friends at the church on Friday morning from 9:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. There will be no Thursday evening visitation.
