A Manitowoc man is facing charges after climbing a tree and yelling about cats and dogs and being possessed by the devil.
Police were called to the 1200 block of Franklin St. just after 10:00 Friday morning to investigate the claim.
Speaking to the suspect and his sister via a Spanish-speaking interpreter, the officer was able to learn the man, 27 years old, had been exhibiting strange and erratic behavior recently.
The suspect was then released back to his residence.
Shortly after, the man’s sister questioned the officer as to why he wasn’t arrested for his existing warrants out for bail jumping.
The suspect was then again discovered at the 1400 block of Franklin Street, where he quickly became resistant.
The officer was forced to deploy his TASER twice to get the man to comply.
He was then taken to Manitowoc County Jail on one count of Resisting Arrest and two counts of Misdemeanor Bail Jumping.
