A 61-year-old Manitowoc man remains in the County Jail following a bail hearing Tuesday afternoon following his arrest on several Misdemeanor counts, including Lewd and Lascivious Behavior.
Other charges filed against Micheal J. Polifka include Disorderly Conduct and Criminal Trespassing to a Dwelling.
Officers were called to a Manitowoc residence Monday morning, and upon entrance, they found Polifka seated on the couch wearing only a polo shirt and holding his neighbor’s Jeep keys.
When asked what he was doing there, Polifka allegedly said, “Whatever I want” and that he did it just for the “heck of it.”
Police determined that it wasn’t his intention to steal the Jeep, however they took him into custody, believing Polifka’s prior actions led them to think this type of behavior could continue.
The lone condition of bail is that Polifka is to have “no contact” with the victim or their residence.
Bail was set at $100 cash, and an initial appearance is scheduled for June 13th at 10:30 a.m.
