An annual bike race returns to Manitowoc for Father’s Day weekend.
The Maritime Bay Classic will take over downtown Manitowoc on Sunday, June 16th, starting at 11:30 a.m. and continuing until 8:15 p.m.
The race will be held at 6 p.m. at Community Hour, which includes a kids’ race and a fat bike race open to the community.
The kids’ race is open to children 12 and under and all participants will be entered into a raffle with win a new bike.
The Maritime Bay Classic is part of the Tour of America’s Dairyland, the largest competitive cycling series in the United States.
Because of the race, downtown businesses will offer special deals throughout the day.

Over 400 men and women from around the world will compete in Sunday’s three-quarters of a mile route around downtown Manitowoc.
