Two Sheboygan County girls soccer teams brought home gold at the WIAA State Tournament.
In the Division 3 finale, Plymouth took down Catholic Memorial 2-1 Saturday at Uihlein Soccer Park in Milwaukee.
The Panthers started the scoring with a goal by Hailey Batzner in the 11th minute, but Licua Brown would sneak a header past Paige Kurtz to knot it up just four minutes later.
From there, it was a defensive battle, with Kurz making a total of 6 saves for the Panthers.
Finally, in the 69th minute, Melina Knowles rifled a shot off the crossbar, which bounced down and in for the eventual game-winner.
Plymouth ends the season with a 24-1-2 record and the state championship after taking down Rice Lake in the semifinals.
In Division 4, Cedar Grove-Belgium earned a 5-1 win over The Prairie School.
The game was knotted at 1 entering halftime, with Cora Erickson opening up the scoring for the Rockets and Keira Kimbrough scoring on a penalty kick.
In the second half, it was all Cedar Grove-Belgium, with Erickson completing the hat trick and Aubrey Marti and Hailey Prom adding the other two goals.
Goalie Aubrey Johnson ended the day with 9 saves for the Rockets as they ended their season with a near-flawless 24-0-1 record.
The Division 2 crown was claimed by Oregon, who toppled Whitefish Bay 1-0, while Muskego beat Kimberly in the Division 1 finale 2-1 to take the championship title.
