Today marks the 4-month mark for missing 3-year-old Elijah Vue.
On February 20th earlier this year his caretaker Jesse Vang reported him missing from his Two Rivers apartment on Mishicot Rd.
Since then, numerous searches have been done by the public, Two Rivers Police, and the FBI.
Vang and Elijah’s mother, Katrina Baur, have been charged with child neglect after court documents showed that Baur dropped off Elijah to Vang so Vang could show the toddler “how to be a man.”
Baur will be back in court later today (June 20th) for a status conference.
Police Chief Ben Meinnert said in the Two Rivers Police Department’s latest update that rumors of Elijah being found are false and that the spreading of the information is disrespectful to the family of Elijah and detracts from efforts in trying to find him.
Meinnert continues saying like many residents, they want to find the answers into why Elijah disappeared and are working hard to do so.
An award of up to $40,000 is still available after the money was announced by Two Rivers Police, Crimestoppers, and the FBI.
