A 19-year-old Manitowoc man was accused of stealing a vehicle in the city last weekend. During a recent court appearance, multiple charges were filed against him.
Fabian A. Adams is charged with Felony Theft (over $10,000), Operating a Vehicle Without the owner’s Consent, and Felony Jumping.
Officers responded to a vehicle theft near The Wharf on June 16th.
The owner told officers that they were enjoying music at the local establishment, only to find out that their vehicle had been stolen.
Security camera footage identified Adams as the culprit in taking the vehicle, but officers could not locate him.
Meanwhile, Glendale police contacted local authorities saying they reported finding the stolen vehicle in that Milwaukee suburb.
A female driving the vehicle led officers on a short chase before being apprehended, with a witness identifying Adams on the security footage as the same person who stole it.
He was eventually located and taken into custody without further incident.
Adams remains in The County Jail on $10,000 cash bail, with the lone condition being that he has “no contact” with the victims.
His initial appearance is scheduled for June 24th (Monday) at 1:30.
