A vehicle stolen in Manitowoc was found in a Milwaukee suburb.
Officers were called to Quay Street near The Wharf on a report of a stolen vehicle Sunday afternoon (June 16th).
The vehicle owner told police that they had parked in the Farmer’s Market parking lot, and while they were enjoying music at The Wharf, the vehicle was taken.
The officer looked at some security camera footage, which showed a 19-year-old man known to police taking the vehicle.
The man was not at his home when police went to find him.
Then, on Monday, the Glendale Police Department reported finding the vehicle in the Milwaukee suburb.
The female driving the vehicle led police on a short chase before being detained.
A witness described the same man police saw on the video as the man who stole the vehicle.
Officers were able to finally locate the suspect, and arrested him on charges of Felony Theft (Over $10,000), Operating a Vehicle Without the Owner’s Consent, and Felony Bail Jumping.
