An Eau Claire middle school student is set to represent Wisconsin in the national civics bee in Washington, D.C.
Rya Mousavi won the Wisconsin Civics Bee last week with her essay on public school reforms.
Despite placing second in the regional competition, Rya secured first place at the state level.
She was awarded a thousand dollars and the opportunity to compete in the National Civics Bee this fall.
