The Wisconsin Maritime Museum has announced its activities for the upcoming 4th of July celebration in Manitowoc.
The annual Subfest gets underway at 9:00 a.m. with the museum opening for free for Veterans, retired military, and active-duty military all weekend.
On July 4th, anyone can get into the museum for $5.
Following the parade at 11:00, the Sub Pub on the Water will open on the museum’s roof, along with food and other beverage tents in the east lot.
There will also be music from Chicago Mule from 10:45 to 1 pm, followed by Make it Double at 2 pm and Rising Phoenix finishing the festivities at 7 pm.
An announcement from the museum says there will also be kids’ activities and self-guided tours of the USS Cobia to learn about its history.
The Tolling of the Boats Ceremony takes place on Friday, July 5th, at 9 am to honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving aboard U.S. Navy submarines.
The Sub Pub will also open throughout the next three days following the July 4th festivities.
All activities are part of Manitowoc’s annual 4th on the Shore, with fireworks to end the day at 9:30 pm on the Manitowoc Lakefront.
