A day to celebrate the creation of the ice cream sundae takes place this evening in Two Rivers.
The annual Sundae Thursday includes 25 cent all you can eat sundaes and plus children’s activities and music.
The ice cream eating contest gets underway at 6 pm for kids and adults.
Entertainment includes music by Mr. Steve at 5:30 p.m. and then the Two Rivers Community Band getting underway at 6:45 pm.
Sundae Thursday kicks off at 5:30 this evening at Central Park West downtown.
The ice cream sundae was invented in 1881 in Two Rivers when a customer asked the owner of Berners Soda Fountain, Ed Berner, to add chocolate sauce to his dish of ice cream.
