The intake of cats isn’t happening at the Lakeshore Humane Society in Manitowoc, or at least not for now.
An announcement on the humane society’s Facebook page that they are temporarily closing the intake of stray cats due to the high population in the shelter.
They ask the public for their kindness and understanding and consider adopting during this hard time for all shelters.
Many people adopted a pet during the coronavirus pandemic, but due to financial constraints, many pets have been returned to shelters.
