A bike tour around the St. Nazianz area returns tomorrow.
The St. Nazianz Bicycle Tour hosted by the St. Nazianz Lion’s Club returns to Oschwald Park for its 8th year.
Bike Route Coordinator and Club Treasurer Steve Noworatzky (no-RAHT-ski) says bike riding has been a passion of his, and he wants everyone to see the beautiful countryside that the county has to offer.
If you want to bike for a longer period, it’s important to start arriving around 7:30 am.
“8 O’clock is when you can start the longer routes, the 16 and the 30 miles,” he explained. “Just because it takes a little bit longer. And for the five and ten miles, you can come in around 9 am.”
There will be four different lengths to ride including the 5, 10, 16, and 30 miles.
However, Noworatzky says you don’t have to do just one.
“You can combine those also,” he says. “If you want to go 46 or actually if you want to combine all four of them, they will add up to about 60 miles.”
A support team of vehicles will also follow the bikes in case something breaks.
E-bikes will also be allowed, but no motorized bikes.
There is also no time limit for the bike tour, meaning riders can enjoy the view while taking their time getting around.
Each rider gets a free T-shirt and lunch catered after finishing the tour.
