The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) has set the deer harvest quotas for this year.
The DNR announced that hunters will be allowed to harvest nearly 273,000 deer, with an additional 245,000 “bonus antlerless” deer permitted.
The quotas were established with input from Wisconsin’s County Deer Advisory Councils.
Deer hunting licenses are available for purchase through the state’s Go Wild app.
The deer season in Wisconsin begins in September with the archery season, while the gun season is scheduled from November 23rd through December 1st.
