The Wisconsin Supreme Court has overturned a ban on a western Wisconsin abortion protester.
The liberal-majority court unanimously ruled that the ban imposed by a Trempealeau County judge, which kept Brian Aish away from an abortion clinic in Blair, violated his First Amendment rights.
The judge had issued the ban after an employee at the clinic accused Aish of making a threat.
The high court determined that Aish did not actually threaten the woman.
Lawyers from the Thomas More Society hailed the decision as a victory for free speech in Wisconsin.
