Game one of the 40th Wisconsin Baseball Coaches Association All-Star Classic featured many local area high school baseball players.
On Friday (June 28th) the North All-Stars matched up with the South All-Stars.
The North All-Stars were highlighted by Axel Donaldson and Easton Arendt of De Pere, Eyan Dessellier of Kiel, and Noah Wech of Manitowoc Lincoln.
The North All-Stars beat the South All-Stars but it took extra innings to get the job done.
Arendt came up clutch in extras as he picked up his second hit of the day and drove in Ryder Hoffman of Appleton West with a two-out single to left.
Then Connor Schroeder of Wausaukee flew out to left end the top half of the inning.
The Lomira Pitcher, Josh Steger, was tasked with getting the three-game clinching outs.
He had no issues before giving up a two-out single but notched the final out with a flyout to right field.
The game finished 3-2 in favor of the North All-Stars in what was a shortened game due to poor weather conditions.
