A federal judge heard arguments yesterday from Milwaukee RNC protesters seeking the right to demonstrate throughout the city.
The Coalition to March on the RNC argued that Milwaukee’s protest regulations violate their First Amendment rights by restricting them to an authorized route.
They also want the judge to overturn the city’s ordinance imposing additional rules during the RNC.
Milwaukee’s attorneys maintain that the regulations are necessary to prevent widespread chaos when the Republican National Convention begins on July 15th.
The judge has not indicated when a decision will be made.
