The city of New Holstein was dealing with flooding over the weekend.
Last Friday (July 5th) the New Holstein Fire Department was called by the request of New Holstein Police to help with traffic operations due to widespread flooding across the city.
Several streets, including but not limited to the area of Wisconsin Ave, Plymouth Street, Calumet Drive, and Milwaukee Street, along with other various areas, were flooded.
Many homeowners’ yards and businesses also delt with flooding with multiple feet of water.
The New Holstein Fire Department also reported that there was damage to property, businesses, homes, cars, and more due to the high water.
The Calumet County Emergency Management team encourages New Holstein residents along with others who dealt the flood damage is encouraged to call 2-1-1 to make a report.
No injuries were reported by fire personnel. Other cities like Brillion and Chilton also dealt with some flooding.
New Holstein Firefighters also thanked other agencies who helped with those affected by flooding.
