The threat of a dam failure in Waupaca County has subsided.
The Manawa Millpond Dam, which appeared at risk following a storm that brought five inches of rain on Friday, is holding steady, according to Fire Chief Josh Smith.
The city had evacuated around 100 residents living near the dam as a precaution.
The focus has now shifted to clean-up efforts, which Chief Smith anticipates will take some time.
Many residents report flooded basements and are unsure how long it will take to pump the water out.
