It was a great day for Manitowoc’s American Legion baseball teams, as all three picked up wins yesterday (July 8th).
In their fourth game in three days, the 16U team walked into Pulaski, and picked up a 7-4 win.
Jake Hillmer got the win on the mound, striking out 8 batters along the way, while Eric Nechodomu drove home 4 baserunners.
The 17U squad was also in Pulaski, where they snuck out a 19-13 win after plating 17 runs in the first two innings.
Aaron Stephany ended the day with 4 RBI, while Benson Dickrell and Ryan Cole each added 3.
Meanwhile, Post 88’s 19U team hosted Sheboygan and walked away with a 4-2 win.
Eyan Dessellier was dominant on the mound, allowing just 2 hits while striking out 11 batters in a full-game effort.
Tate Hartlaub, Brock Peterson, and Gavin Lettenberger had 1 RBI apiece in the win as Manitowoc scattered 9 hits.
The 19U squad is back at it today, as they host Mishicot following the 17U matchup at 5:00 p.m. at Municipal Field.
The 16U team will get a bit of a break, as they will next be back in action on Thursday when they host a doubleheader against Pulaski.
