Derek Johnson has been sentenced to 25 years in prison for the sexual assault of a nine-year-old girl in Dunn County.
The judge handed down the sentence yesterday for the assault that occurred in 2021, although prosecutors noted the abuse began years earlier.
Johnson was convicted of first-degree sexual assault of a child in January.
Upon release, he will be required to register as a sex offender for life.
