The Wisconsin Department of Health Services is looking for public input on the Include, Respect, I Self-Direct (IRIS) program.
The IRIS program empowers adults with disabilities and older adults with long-term health issues to make their own choices and live independently.
The program serves roughly 26,000 Wisconsin residents.
From now until August 2, participants and those involved with the program are encouraged to fill out the DHS online survey to share their ideas on IRIS.
The DHS will use the input gathered to propose changes to the program.
The DHS also says that input from IRIS participants, families and friends, caregivers, and advocates is essential to ensure the proposed changes support participant choice and access to exemplary services.
The survey and more information on the IRIS program can be found online.
