The Lakeshore Humane Society is gearing up for an annual pub crawl fundraiser.
The “Pup Crawl” is in its eighth year and is a day for animal lovers to hop around six bars in Manitowoc to help raise money for the humane society.
Shelter Director Tina Nichols said on the WCUB Breakfast Club that this year’s crawl will start at the Linebacker and end at Van’s Bar. Each stop will have raffles and specials.
You can also bring your dog along for the crawl.
“There’s a place at every one of the organizations, either inside or outside that allows the dogs,” she explained.
“We’ve got it set up with pools and water, so a lot of people bring their pets.”
Nichols says there will also be a new area the group will see.
“We have a new play set we’re stopping at,” she said.
“We’re stopping at Petskull.”
If you do bring a pet, make sure that they are comfortable around other dogs and make sure they are updated on their vaccinations.
Anyone interested can sign up for the event until the week before.
It costs $35 to register and includes a t-shirt, Koozie, and five raffle tickets.
The “Pup Crawl” takes place on Sunday, August 4th and starts at noon.
