Two people were arrested in a drug house bust in Manitowoc over the weekend.
Manitowoc police conducted a search warrant for a home in the 2400 block of Washington Street Friday, where the renter of the residence was said to appear to be under the influence of an illegal substance.
The 53-year-old woman had trouble sitting still and continued talking while searchers found several items of drug paraphernalia in plain sight.
Three other individuals were in the residence at the time, and the woman told police that all of them use drugs in the home, but she claimed to not allow any drug deals in the home.
A 42-year-old man in the home discredited that claim, saying she was “aware someone else at the residence was selling an illegal drug.”
He was taken to the Manitowoc County Jail, and while being changed into a jumpsuit, jail staff located a baggy of drugs in his body.
He was charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a Schedule I or II Narcotic, namely Fentanyl, a Schedule I or II Narcotic in Jail, and Felony Bail Jumping.
The woman was arrested on charges of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and being the Keeper of a Drug House.
