A home in Appleton caught fire early Monday morning (July 15th).
WBAY TV reports that the fire in the 1400 block of West Franklin Street was reported at 1:00 a.m., and the Appleton Fire Department was quick on the scene.
Crews found the flames on the second floor of the home, and while making sure everyone was out, were able to take down the fire within 20 minutes of arriving.
No injuries were reported, however the fire caused an estimated $250,000 in damage to the home.
The Appleton Fire Department is reminding residents to ensure their smoke alarms are in working order, and that there are always two ways out of every room in case of an emergency.
