The annual Ladies Powder Puff Fishing Derby has returned to Sheboygan.
The yearly fishing tournament kicked off this moring (July 17th) and will be headquartered at The Wharf on the water.
Fishing started at 5:30 this morning and will end at noon.
The public is encouraged to join the lady anglers for the “After Party” festivities once all boats return to the harbor.
These festivities include a public taco bar, a live DJ, and raffles. Prizes for the derby will be awarded by weight and all fish species must be 18 inches to qualify.
The theme for this year’s derby is “retro-vintage 70s, 80s, and 90s” with participants encouraged to dress the part while they hit the water.
Awards will be given to one group or boat for their costume and one individual costume.
The Wharf is located at 733 Riverfront Drive in Sheboygan.
