A Manitowoc Lincoln graduate was drafted by the Milwaukee Brewers yesterday (July 16th).
With the 575th pick, the Brewers selected Noah Wech, a strong armed righty that led the Ships to the Sectional Finals, one game short of state.
While he was the obvious breakout star with his 96 MPH fastball, Noah has remained humble, crediting the work of the entire team during a recent appearance on the On the Line Podcast.
“We had a very hungry group of guys,” he noted. “Everybody just wanted to get down and work really hard.”
Noah was one of three right-handed pitchers selected right out of high school for Milwaukee.
They also selected Tyler Renz of Fox Lane High School in New York and Henry Brummel, a graduate of Pontiac Township High School in Illinois.
