Congressman Derrick Van Orden from Western Wisconsin reported being assaulted at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee.
In a statement on X yesterday, Van Orden accused a protester from Code Pink of assaulting him while he was waiting in line at the RNC.
However, Code Pink countered, claiming that Van Orden had bumped into a woman they described as “visibly Palestinian.”
Van Orden condemned political violence and demanded the protester be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
Additionally, Milwaukee Police arrested a 21-year-old man carrying a gun and wearing a ski mask outside the RNC.
Although guns are permitted in the soft security zone, the man lacked a valid concealed carry permit in Wisconsin or any other state.
Charges are pending.
