Disabled veterans in Sheboygan County are being offered free boat launch permits.
WHBL reports that Sheboygan County Veteran Service Director Todd Richter announced the program is a collaborative effort between is Department and the Planning and Conservation Department.
With the program, any veterans with a disability rating of 70% or more are now exempt from the boat launch permit fees for Crystal Lake, Elkhart Lake, Little Elkhart Lake, Gerber Lake, Jetzer’s Lake and the Sheboygan Marsh.
Typically, these fees total $16 for County residents and $24 for non-residents.
Disabled veterans who want to take advantage of the program just need to visit the Sheboygan County Veterans Service Office on Forest Avenue in Sheboygan Falls.
