The 45th annual Kiwanis Club of Two Rivers Fish Derby and Festival is hitting Lake Michigan this weekend.
Anglers from all over the country will be making their way to the area for the tournament that will take place on Saturday (July 20) and Sunday.
The derby begins at 12:01 a.m. Saturday and will commence at noon on Sunday.
The top prize for the winners is a $5,600 cash purse with second place receiving $2,400, and $1,200 for third place.
There will also be cash prizes awarded for the biggest individual coho and chinook salmon as well as brown, rainbow, and lake trout.
In total, there is more than $13,000 on the line.
The accompanying festival will be held at Walsh Field and entry is free.
At the festival, patrons will be able to enjoy live music, try food from Brian’s Smokehouse, and of course, check out the fish.
The festival grounds are open from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Saturday and from 12:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Sunday.
