For future elections, two Republican lawmakers in Wisconsin are advocating for increased security measures at ballot drop boxes.
State Representative Scott Krug and State Senator Dan Knodl have introduced a bill that would mandate 24/7 video surveillance of these drop boxes.
Additionally, their proposal requires the presence of police officers or deputies when ballots are collected.
Krug emphasized the necessity of these security measures to build public trust in the voting process.
He aims to expedite the legislation, but it is unlikely that Governor Evers will sign it before November.
