The T-28 Trojan Warbird aircrafts will be returning to the Sheboygan County Airport.
The post-WWII radial engine-powered planes will be hosted by The Aviation Heritage Center of Wisconsin and the local EAA chapter today (July 19th) through Sunday.
This will be the 15th year the Warbirds have appeared in Sheboygan.
This “Gathering of Warbirds” is to prepare for the EAA Event in Oshkosh the following week.
The planes can be viewed from the airport balcony, but attendees will also have the rare opportunity to climb into the cockpit of these historic aircraft as well.
The Warbirds, now privately owned, were used in combat as fighter bombers during the Vietnam War and by the CIA.
They were also used to train United States Air Force and Navy pilots from 1949 until 1984.
Admission to see the T-28 Trojan Warbirds is free but donations are appreciated.
