The mother of missing 3-year-old Elijah Vue might not be returning to court as soon as first thought.
According to Wisconsin Circuit Court Access, the lawyer for 31-year-old Katrina Baur asked for another adjournment yesterday (July 22nd).
An adjournment means the court could cancel the next hearing set for this Friday (July 26th) and change the date.
It’s not known when or if Judge Robert Dewane will act on the adjournment. Baur was expected to change her plea last week but didn’t.
She and her boyfriend, 39-year-old Jesse Vang, are facing chronic child neglect charges with regard to actions involving Elijah before his disappearance.
According to police, Baur dropped off the missing 3-year-old at Vang’s home for “disciplinary purposes.”
Baur is also facing charges of resisting or obstructing a peace officer and neglecting a child.
Elijah has now been missing for over 5 months after he was first reported missing on February 20th.
