Western Wisconsin Republican Congressman Derrick Van Orden is urging Kamala Harris to invoke the 25th Amendment and remove President Biden from office.
Van Orden sent a letter to Harris yesterday, arguing that President Biden is no longer of “sound mind and body” and that the United States is in danger as long as he remains in office.
The 25th amendment states that when “the Vice President and a majority of either the principal officers of the executive departments” deem the President as “unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office, the Vice President shall immediately assume the powers and duties of the office as Acting President.”
Van Orden expressed no pleasure in making this request but stated that he believes it is necessary.
