A popular bar in Sheboygan hasn’t poured a drink, fried cheese curds, or played any music on the jukebox since the beginning of July.
Dave’s Who’s Inn, located at 835 Indiana Avenue near the Sheboygan River, is going through a dispute with the City of Sheboygan over what they say are unfair restrictions that were added to their liquor license.
WHBL reports that Dave Repinski, the longtime owner of the bar, had to agree to a pair of stipulations in order to remain open: not allow any minors on the property and use a metal detector on anyone who comes inside.
Attorney Richard Hahn of Holden & Hahn law firm called the restrictions unfair and said the reason they were given was vague.
The issue will be addressed when the City’s Licensing, Hearings, and Public Safety Committee meets tomorrow (July 25th) in Conference Room 106 in City Hall.
That meeting is scheduled to begin at 4:30 p.m.
However, the public will not be given time to voice comments.
