The victims of an airplane crash near EAA AirVenture have been identified preliminarily.
According to WFRV TV, Winnebago County Sheriff’s have identified the two people as 37-year-old Sean M. Tommervik and 32-year-old James G. Sullivan.
Sheriffs noted that Tommervik had recently moved from El Paso, TX to Philadelphia and Sullivan had moved from Brooklyn, NY to Nashville Tennessee.
The plane involved reportedly was a Lancair Super ES.
The plate of the plane belonged to Tommervik.
The crash happened Monday (July 22nd) in the town of Nekimi just south of Wittman Airport in Oshkosh.
It continues to be investigated by the National Transportation Safety Board.
