The Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade, and Consumer Protection has announced the results of the state’s Potato Industry Board election.
Three potato growers are now at the beginning of a three-year term on the board: Eric Schroeder of Deerbrook, James Okray of Stevens Point, and Roderick Gumz of Endeavor.
Schroeder will represent District 1, which includes Brown, Oconto, and Kewaunee Counties.
Okray, from District 2, represents Outagamie, Shawano, and Marathon Counties.
In District 3, Gumz will be representing Manitowoc, Sheboygan, and Fond du Lac Counties amongst others.
The Wisconsin Potato Industry Board supports Wisconsin potato growers through research, education, and promotion of potatoes grown in the state.
