The Sheboygan Area School District will be turning to the voters to approve spending for facility issues.
WHBL reports that the referendum on the November ballot would ask if the district could spend an additional $121 million to rebuild and remodel Urban and Farnsworth Middle Schools.
Both buildings are nearing 100 years old, and are in desperate need of attention.
It is anticipated that if approved, the property tax mill rate would increase by 20 cents, which represents an annual tax increase of around $20 for every $100,000 in a home’s value.
