With a new hotel being built in Manitowoc, that means more people could come to town for business, leisure, or to tour around the Clipper City.
Visit Manitowoc Director Courtney Hansen says this is something needed, especially during summer.
“A lot of our visitors are excited,” she explained.
“When we posted the news that this hotel was coming to have that recognizable brand that they trust when they travel here in our community. So, we’re really excited to add that to our list of lodging options.”
Hansen also believes a new hotel means bringing in more people to the city.
The location of the hotel, being off I-43, should also help bring in clients that the city talks to.
The city could also take advantage of the hotel.
“I think that there’s a lot that we will quickly host there,” Hasen said.
A ceremonial groundbreaking for the expected Hampton Inn was done Tuesday (July 23rd).
Odyssey Hotels will build the hotel located in front of the AMC Movie Theater on 44th Street.
It’s expected to be finished by 2026.
