The Manitowoc County Mariners couldn’t quite complete the comeback as they fell to the Wisconsin Ravens Saturday 16-10 in the first round of the Northern Lights Football League playoffs.
The Mariners had eked out wins over the Ravens twice in the regular season, each by just one score, but this time, the Ravens jumped out to a 16-0 lead in the 1st quarter.
The Mariners were able to rally and get within a touchdown, but the Ravens’ defense tightened up, ending the Mariners’ season.
